Inglewood Inn

35 minutes from Adelaide, Inglewood Inn mixes the old with the new and has a wow factor that is hard to describe.

The floor to ceiling glass windows, high ceilings and polished cement floors give an edgy and modern feel but are balanced by the original 1857 stone wall and mesmerising panoramic views of the Adelaide Hills.

The private grounds of the inn provide a beautiful space for ceremonies surrounded by gardens, which in true to Inglewood Inn style, are well kept and have an effortless look, without being too overly manicured. Whether it is a winter wedding capturing the enchanting dormant elm trees and lush green hills in the background, or a summer wedding with the trees in full leaf, this really is an impressive natural backdrop.

And what garden ceremony would be complete without a garden bar? Luckily enough Inglewood Inn has one of those too! Featuring the best of SA gin and of course local wines, your guests can enjoy pre-reception beverages and canapés on the lawn whilst you adventure on through the property with your photographer. And yes there is plenty of space for that too. Behind the property, the Para River meanders past a beautiful lush wooded area and an old stone bridge that stops every photographer in their tracks.

Internally, Inglewood Inn offers a beautiful space for your reception, with trademark views over the garden and hills. The space accommodates up to 160 guests for cocktail or 110 for a seated reception. In the case of inclement weather, they have an enclosed verandah to the side of the main function space for you to utilise as a back-up, with equally beautiful views of the hills and river beyond.

One of the things we love about these spaces is that they can easily accommodate so many different styles, bouncing from rustic and vintage to industrial or glam seamlessly. These personal style preferences are something Inglewood Inn are really flexible with, allowing you to select your preferred supplier or even add touches yourself.

Inglewood Inn suits a couple with a sophisticated taste that want a bespoke look without the stress of a DIY wedding. The talented in-house team take care of food, beverages and set-up and their packages are surprisingly reasonable. Hire includes full day exclusive use and, when possible, the team will also allow you access the day prior to set-up.

The Inglewood Inn was built in 1857 as a resting point for those travelling on horseback from Adelaide to Gumeracha, but with the love and care that has been put into it over the last decade, we think it deserves to now be recognised as a destination in its own right.
